Va’LIN’tines Day: Jeremy Lin plays his first game in Toronto

TORONTO – With a basketball career less than two months old, New York Knicks rookie Jeremy Lin’s arrival to Toronto has managed to capture the same attention as visits from veteran league players like Lebron James and Kobe Bryant.

Lin has already picked up impressive stats – the point guard came off the bench ten days ago and scored 25 points in a Knicks win over the New York Nets.

He hasn’t been on the bench since. Lin was recently named the Eastern Conference Player of the week.

On Tuesday, the NBA’s newest star takes on the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. The city seems to be celebrating Va’LIN’tines Day on social media sites as fans look forward to his arrival:
