CALGARY – The Calgary Inferno women’s hockey team has just landed an Olympian.
Hayley Wickenheiser announced on Tuesday she’ll enter this year’s Canadian Women’s Hockey League entry draft, with the intention of joining the Inferno.

The 36-year-old forward is a five-time Olympic gold medalist with Team Canada’s women’s hockey team and a former University of Calgary Dino.
She finished her kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary in 2013 and says she’s ready for the next challenge in her historic hockey career.
