TORONTO – More than a dozen ducks were rescued from Mimico Creek in Etobicoke on Tuesday following a vehicle collision overnight that resulted in oil seeping into the water.
Toronto firefighters responded to the scene and helped pull the animals to safety.
The Toronto Wildlife Centre also dispatched officers to help clean the animals.
The oil is believed to be non-toxic and a section of the creek has been blocked off.
