Benfeito, Filion win gold in synchro diving at Pan Am Games

TORONTO – Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion added to Canada’s medal haul, winning gold on Monday in women’s synchronized 10-metre platform at the Pan American Games.

Montreal’s Benfeito and Filion, from Laval, Que., earned 316.89 points to beat Brazil (291.36) and Mexico (287.91).

It is Canadian pair’s second medals of the Games. Filion won silver and Benfeito took bronze in the women’s 10-metre event on Sunday.
