TORONTO — Toronto police didn’t have to go far when a car crashed into a building in downtown Toronto on Wednesday, as it happened right outside their doorstep.
Const. Victor Kwong said the collision occurred on Bay Street just north of College Street, near 832 Bay St., at about 4:46 p.m. on Wednesday.
“A car is in a building but everyone is ok, driver is out and no one is injured,” he said.

“Someone who called in said that they saw that the car might have swerved to avoid a cyclist, but when we got there, there was no cyclist on scene.”
Kwong said the driver has not been charged with any driving offences but the investigation is ongoing.
“Whoever called it in said that there was huge damage to the building,” he added.
