TORONTO — It took 50 years but The Rolling Stones have finally released a video for “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”.
The legendary British band debuted a lyric video for the grammatically incorrect song on Wednesday.
It features vintage photos and film clips — including the moment a fan stormed the stage when the Stones first performed the song live on Sept. 3, 1965.
The video, directed by Peter Whitehead, Mick Gochanour and Hector Santizo, comes ahead of Friday’s release of a limited edition 12″ vinyl single of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

The Stones hit was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards — both now 71 — and appeared on the album Out of Our Heads. At the time, the song was criticized for being sexually suggestive.
“(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” was added to the U.S. Library of Congress National Recording Registry in 2006, two years after Rolling Stone magazine ranked it No. 2 on a list of “The 500 Greastest Songs of All Time” (behind Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone”).
The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart on July 10, 1965.
The Rolling Stones are scheduled to perform in Quebec City on July 15.
