Roughriders re-sign quarterback Tino Sunseri

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Wednesday they have re-signed quarterback Tino Sunseri, just two weeks after the club released him.

Sunseri took over as the Riders starting quarterback last season after starter Darian Durant was injured during the Banjo Bowl. Suneri struggled as the team’s starting quarterback and the Riders were forced to sign Kerry Joseph.

The Riders brought in veteran QB Kevin Glenn in the off season, and released Sunseri prior to the start of the season.

However, the team was forced to revisit their quarterback situation after Durant suffered a season-ending injury just halfway through the team’s first game of the season.

The team did not release details of Sunseri’s new contract.
