Severe thunderstorms could hit parts of the Okanagan

KELOWNA – Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch Tuesday morning for parts of the Okanagan.

The agency reports favourable conditions for thunderstorms that could produce strong wind gusts, heavy rain and large hail.

The areas under the watch are the central and north Okanagan.

People are advised to stay indoors when a thunderstorm strikes.
