REGINA – A police officer in Moose Jaw is said to be unharmed after allegedly being assaulted while trying to break up a fight involving a knife.
The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. Saturday on the zero block of Manitoba Street East.
Police say a 32-year-old man was allegedly pointing and making motions to cut and stab two other people. During the arrest, police say the man assaulted an officer.
The 32-year-old has been charged with numerous offences, including resisting arrest, assault with a weapon and assaulting an officer. He will be in court on Monday.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested in the incident and charged with uttering threats and breaching his court ordered conditions.
No one was seriously hurt.
