REGINA – RCMP are commending the actions of a man who was able to safely locate a couple of stranded fishermen in northern Saskatchewan. On June 12, an SOS signal from Reindeer Lake was received after a boat sank.

Four men from the United States had been on a fishing trip when the supply boat for their group sank during bad weather. RCMP said the area had been hit with high winds and heavy rain for several days.
