DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. – CVTech Group Inc. (TSX:CVT) said Tuesday it has renewed a $13-million contract for the construction and maintenance of overhead distribution networks for Hydro-Quebec.
The one-year contract extension lasts through 2012. About 100 employees will work in Montreal and the surrounding area on the Hydro-Quebec networks.

“The renewal of this contract illustrates our solid business relationship with Hydro-Quebec as well as its high degree of satisfaction with our services,” said chief executive officer Andre Laramee.

CVTech is a management company with a subsidiary providing services to the electric power industry for the maintenance of transmission and distribution lines in Quebec and the eastern United States.
Its other subsidiary specializes in controlling vegetation around power lines and in clearing rights of way.
