TORONTO — B.C. police believe the two suspects wanted for first-degree murder in the death of a Vaughan, Ont. man may be headed for British Columbia.

In a tweet Tuesday morning the Vancouver Police Department said the two “may be headed to Lower Mainland.”

A warrant is out for Clyde Marshall, 36, of New Brunswick and Sabrina Chouart, 27, of Quebec in connection with the the slaying of 32-year-old Sina Parsi. The two suspects are still on the run.

Monday afternoon Winnipeg police said investigators had received information that suggested the pair could have been in the area.

On Monday Toronto police said there had been reported sightings of the pair in northern and eastern Ontario, but nothing had been verified.

Police said late Monday a large-breed dog belonging to the suspects was found abandoned in Toronto. While officials didn’t specify when the dog was found, a release said it was believed the two “have been travelling without the dog since the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13, 2015.”

They were seen on security camera video in the company of a large brown dog, which was discovered, abandoned, tied to a post in the Islington and Dundas area. The dog is in safe hands – it’s been delivered to Toronto animal services.

Toronto police have released video showing the two suspects. Officials urged the public to contact police if the suspects are spotted, or with any information. Police said the two are on the run, “desperate” and should not be approached.

Parsi, 32, went missing last Tuesday after leaving a soccer game. His body was found on Friday in a Toronto apartment near Jane Street and St. Clare Avenue West. Police would not elaborate on cause of death, other than to say it was “violent.”

Police would not comment on the relationship between the victim and the two suspects.

Marshall and Chouart are likely to be hitchhiking, and are not believed to have the means to leave the country.
