KELOWNA – An accident in West Kelowna claimed the life of an Okanagan journalist Friday afternoon.
Trevor Rockliffe was working on a vehicle at his home when apparently the jack gave way and he was crushed underneath it.

The West Kelowna Fire Department responded to the incident in the Shannon Lake area shortly after 3 p.m.
Rockliffe worked as News Director for Castanet for almost four years before leaving the company last fall.
On their webpage, Castanet describes Rockliffe as having a passion for telling stories from behind the lens, adding he was a passionate newsman who loved tracking down stories and bringing them to viewers.
Rockliffe leaves behind his wife and four children.
