‘Baddest beard’ in the CFL

Watch above: As Kim Thue reports, Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Hugh O’Neill is making his case for the title of  “baddest beard in sports.”

SASKATOON – Beards are nothing new in sports. Brian Wilson, Brett Keisel, Scott Hartnell and James Harden are just a few athletes who have rocked impressive beards over the years.

In the NHL, players are known to grow beards during the playoffs.

Saskatchewan pro golfer Graham DeLaet followed the NHL tradition and grew a playoff beard during the PGA Tour FedEx Cup events in 2013 and 2014.

None of those, though, may compare with Saskatchewan Roughrider kicker Hugh O’Neill’s beard.

At the Riders training camp, O’Neill is making his case for the title of the “baddest beard in sports” as Kim Thue finds out in his report.
