REGINA – A cell phone video of two young boys fighting in a Regina alley has led to charges against an 18-year-old woman.
Regina Police identified the boys as being seven and nine years old. Off camera, you can hear the voice of a woman urging the kids to fight – even offering to hold one boy’s sweater during the scrap.
Neither of the boys was seriously hurt, police say.
The video, which made the rounds on social media in early May, was disturbing to many people Global News spoke to. One woman suggested if a family member was the one behind the camera, “all of us have to take responsibility for correcting that situation.”

On May 11, a police spokesperson wasn’t sure if charges would be laid or if education from the RPS Family Services Unit would be more appropriate.
Daralee Jewel Klyne, 18, faces one count of assault and will appear in court on July 22.
