Okanagan woman overwhelmed with lottery win

COLDSTREAM – Winning $500,000 in a lottery brought a north Okanagan woman to the floor in tears of joy.

The BC Lottery Corporation reports Coldstream resident Caroline Longval received the “I love you” ticket from her husband who doesn’t normally purchase the Extra.

The ticket matched all four winning numbers in the May 22 draw.

“This was a very nice and unexpected moment,” says Longval in a corporation news release. “I am very grateful.”

The couple intends to buy a home with their winnings after hosting a celebratory dinner party with family and friends.

The ticket was purchased at the Coldstream Market.
