Canam’s Structal-Bridges wins more that $20 million in new contracts

QUEBEC CITY, Que. – Canam Group Inc.’s (TSX:CAM) Structal-Bridges division has won two contracts to provide steel structures for bridge replacements in Canada and the United States, the construction company said Wedensday.

The Quebec City-based firm said it will build the steel structure for the replacement of the Memorial Bridge between Kittery, Me., and Portsmouth, N.H. under an agreement with Archer Western Contractors worth $12-million.

It will also build and install box girders for North Channel Bridge replacement in Cornwall, Ont., under a deal with fellow construction firm Aecon Group Inc. (TSX:ARE).

Components for the Memorial Bridge project will be made at Canam’s recently modernized plant in Claremont, N.H.
