REGINA – Fire crews were on the scene of a blaze near the new stadium build on Wednesday morning.
Black smoke started billowing from the construction site around 8 a.m.
Fire crews say the fire, mostly consisting of foam insulation, was under control within an hour and contained to a scrap staging area by the new Mosaic Stadium.
There were around 200 workers on the site when the fire broke out but no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The blaze will not impact construction of the stadium – it is still scheduled to host its first CFL game in 2017.
