UPDATE: All advisories mentioned in this story have ended

Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for the southeast corner of Saskatchewan over the Victoria Day long weekend.

The agency is forecasting a low pressure system approaching from the United States will move into the province. It is expected to bring 30 to 40 millimetres of rain before changing over to freezing rain Sunday morning, then ice pellets and eventually snow by Sunday afternoon.

Five to 10 centimetres of snow could be possible by Sunday night.

Strong winds between 50 to 70 km/h will develop on Sunday which may cause poor visibility when combined with the falling snow.
