VANCOUVER – At a strip mall in Cloverdale someone has written “beware of crow” in multiple areas around the parking lot.
For the past few weeks, two crows have been dive-bombing people who are walking through the area, located at 17790 Highway 10 in Surrey, protecting their nest.

Customers who visit the strip mall can be seen running for their cars or for a store to avoid the birds. The nest is believed to be located in the eaves of Coast Capital Savings.
On Friday, two shoppers said they have not yet been attacked but a woman behind them was dive-bombed. “She was scared,” said one shopper. “The crow just swooped down and got her by the hair.”
The BC SPCA said it is normal for adult crows to dive-bomb people that are near their young.
“It swooped down behind me and scratched my head a whole bunch of times and then took off,” said another customer.
“It wasn’t so scary but it hurt for about a week.”
There are reports the young crows have been removed from the nest but that has not been confirmed.
