21-year-old charged in connection to Lethbridge triple homicide

LETHBRIDGE – Police have charged a 21-year-old man in connection with Lethbridge’s first-ever triple homicide.

Kyle Devine, 27, his girlfriend Clarissa English, 24, and her brother Dakota English, 18, were found dead inside a home in the 200 block of McGill Boulevard on April 28th, 2015.

Police say autopsies conducted on the victims show they died of multiple stab wounds.

Police arrested Austin Lane Vielle on Wednesday. He has been charged with three counts of second-degree murder.

Investigators say Vielle was an acquaintance of the victims and was known to associate with them.

Previous to the murder, Vielle had been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats in connection to a physical altercation with Kyle Devine in April.

He was released with the condition he wouldn’t have contact with Kyle. However, police say Vielle had been spending time with the victims just before their deaths.

Investigators believe the accused acted alone.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 21st at 9:30 a.m.
