SASKATOON – Five people, including four teens, are facing stolen vehicle charges. Saskatoon police made the arrests after receiving a report of bottles being thrown at parked vehicles Monday evening.

Witnesses were able to give officers a description of the vehicle and a licence plate number. It was quickly determined the GMC Yukon had been reported stolen from Prince Albert earlier in the day.

The Yukon was located in the area of Confederation Drive and Borden Place. Police say seven people fled the SUV as officers approached.

Two canine units were brought in to help track the suspects. Police also received assistance from people in the area, who reported people hiding and running through yards.

Five suspects were eventually caught, however police say two were uncooperative and had to be treated for dog bites.
