Suspect nabbed after neighbour spots man smashing vehicle window

SASKATOON – A man is scheduled to appear in a Saskatoon courtroom Monday after windows were smashed on vehicles. He was arrested after being spotted by an alert neighbour.

According to police, the neighbour saw a man smash a window and rummage through a vehicle just after 12:30 a.m. in the 400-block of 32nd Street West in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood.

Patrol and canine units, along with the air support unit, responded. A man matching the suspect’s description was arrested in the vicinity.

Officers found a second vehicle in the area with a smashed-out window.

 

The 20-year-old man, whose name has not been released, is facing wilful damage charges.
