Riders encouraging fans to donate by “Bleeding Green”

REGINA – As a part of the “Pass it On” community initiative two players from the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Weldon Brown and Anthony Allen, were at the Regina blood donor clinic Friday to help encourage donors and show that what they do is appreciated.

“It’s really nice to have the Roughriders here today, on behalf of patients, to say thank you and to encourage people to rally together,” said Jamie Lewis, the Territory Manger of the Canadian Blood Services.

Anthony Allen, of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, wants to help show that the team has the community’s back.

“These guys come out when it’s cold and raining so we got to come out to the community,” said Allen.
