WATCH: Trailer for ‘Magic Mike XXL’ has pecs appeal

TORONTO — A new trailer for Magic Mike XXL has sparks, flexes and pecs — and may change the way you look at a bottle of water in a convenience store.

The two-minute teaser for the sequel to the 2012 male stripper flick debuted online Wednesday.

“We didn’t want to show the best parts of the movie in this trailer,” it declares. “But it was very hard to resist.”

So, too, are the toned torsos of Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez and Kevin Nash in the trailer.

All five reprise their roles as the Kings of Tampa for XXL, in which the strippers take a road trip to perform at a convention in Myrtle Beach.

Noticeably absent from the first movie are Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer but new cast members include Jada Pinkett Smith, Andie MacDowell, Donald Glover, Elizabeth Banks and Michael Strahan.

Magic Mike XXL opens July 1, a little more than a month after Chocolate City — described as a black version of Magic Mike — opens in cinemas.
