Teen dead after rollover in Sherwood Park

EDMONTON – An 18-year-old man is dead after the vehicle he was driving rolled several times into a field in Sherwood Park.

Strathcona County RCMP said he was travelling south on Range Road 231 between Township Road 514 and 512 in his red Chevy Corvette.

Just before 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, the driver – who was the only person in the vehicle – may have lost control and rolled off the road. He was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed is believed to be a factor into the single vehicle collision.

The victim’s name is not being released.
