WINNIPEG – Manitoba’s west Whiteshell region will be experiencing a planned power outage Thursday morning.
Manitoba Hydro will interrupt electrical service to customers in the west Whiteshell area from 8 a.m. to noon.
About 570 customers will be affected by the interruption.

Specific locations affected include Eleanor Lake, Otter Falls, Dorothy Lake, Barrier Lake and Nutimik Lake areas.
This planned interruption is required to allow Manitoba Hydro crews to safely relocate a section of a power line to make way for the new Eleanor Lake distribution supply centre. When completed late this year, the centre will provide additional capacity to meet load growth in the area.
