Alberta Election 2015: NDP’s Eric Rosendahl wins West Yellowhead riding

Eric Rosendahl, the NDP candidate for Alberta’s West Yellowhead riding, has defeated incumbent Robin Campbell, and PC Finance Minister, in the provincial election.

Voters in West Yellowhead had elected Progressive Conservatives since 1997, but prior to that elected Liberal MLA Duco Van Binsbergen in 1993 and NDP MLA Jerry Doyle in 1989.

Campbell was running for his third term, but finished in second with just over 32 per cent of the vote (with 60 out of 65 polls reporting).
