Alberta Election 2015: Wildrose’s Wes Taylor wins Battle River-Wainwright riding

The Progressive Conservatives have lost another stronghold in the Alberta election.

Wildrose candidate Wes Taylor won the riding of Battle River-Wainwright. The riding had voted PC since 1971.

The PC’s Doug Griffiths was first elected in a 2002 by-election, and held the seat until his resignation in January.

Candidates:

  • NDP – Gordon Naylor
  • Progressive Conservatives – Blake Prior
  • Wildrose – Wes Taylor
  • Liberal – Ron Williams
