Alberta Election 2015: Wildrose’s Pat Stier wins Livingstone-Macleod

Wildrose MLA Pat Stier has been re-elected in Livingstone-Macleod.

With 78 of 79 polls reporting, Stier, who was first elected in 2012, had 7,188 votes to the 6,331 for PC candidate Evan Berger.

NDP candidate Aileen Burke was in third place with 4,149 votes.

Livingstone-Macleod is a rural riding in southwestern Alberta, one of several the Wildrose won on election night.

It includes the towns of Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek, and the municipality of the Crowsnest Pass.

The riding was solidly PC until 2012, when Stier took the seat from the PC incumbent, Agriculture Minister Evan Berger.

Candidates:

  • Wildrose: Pat Stier (Incumbent) 
  • NDP: Aileen Burke
  • Liberal: Alida Hess
  • Progressive Conservative: Evan Berger
