Alberta Election 2015: Wildrose Party’s Mark Smith wins in Drayton Valley-Devon riding

The Wildrose Party’s Mark Smith will represent Drayton Valley-Devon after defeating the PC incumbent Diana McQueen.

The central Alberta riding was created in the 2010 boundary redistribution from the old electoral district of Drayton Valley-Calmar, which was expanded to include the town of Devon.

The riding had been PC since the 1970s.

McQueen, the former Minister of Municipal Affairs, has held the seat since 2008.

  • Progressive Conservatives – Diana McQueen (incumbent)
  • Wildrose – Mark Smith
  • NDP – Katherine Swampy
  • Alberta Party – Connie Jensen
  • Green – Jennifer Roach
