Alberta Election 2015: NDP’s Rod Loyola wins Edmonton-Ellerslie riding

NDP candidate Rod Loyola has won the riding of Edmonton-Ellerslie in the Alberta election.

This southeast Edmonton riding was created in 1993 from Edmonton-Mill Woods. The Progressive Conservatives won the riding in 2008 with candidate Naresh Bhardwaj. Bhardwaj stepped away from his cabinet position after allegations arose of bribery during the nomination process in his riding.
