Fire and backcountry travel bans ended by Manitoba government

WINNIPEG — Fire bans and backcountry travel bans on provincial land have been lifted, Manitoba government officials say.

Manitoba’s Conservation and Water Stewardship department has restored all fire permits.

Earlier this month, dry, warm and windy conditions increased the fire risk in southeastern Manitoba and led to backcountry travel restrictions.
