WINNIPEG — A city of Winnipeg transit bus collided with a pickup truck at Fermor Avenue and Lakewood Boulevard sending two to hospital around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
A passenger on the bus told Global News the bus was crossing Fermor from Autumnwood Drive to Lakewood Boulevard. The pickup truck ran a red light and while crossing the intersection was hit by the bus. After the initial collision the bus continued on to hit at least one more vehicle and skidded on to the side of the road.
Approximately six people were aboard the bus at the time and the driver and another were taken from the scene by ambulance.
