Minor earthquake rattles Quebec’s Lanaudière region

MONTREAL — Natural Resources Canada has confirmed there was a 3.8 magnitude earthquake in Quebec on Monday morning.

It took place at 6:13 a.m. and the epicentre was pinpointed close to Saint-Michel-des-Saints, about 200 kilometres north of Montreal.

According to Natural Resources Canada, the earthquake was “lightly felt” and there were no reports of damage.
