LETHBRIDGE – Students at Lakeview Elementary School got an energy education Wednesday.
The ATCO Energy Education Mobile is a 40-foot classroom on wheels that travels across the province teaching kids about where energy comes from and how they can conserve it.

The on-board activities include interactive games that complement Alberta’s grade 4 science and social studies curriculums.
“I don’t think there’s a better way to learn than when you’re actually hands on…manipulating boards or working through the computer solving problems,” said Shane Ellis of ATCO Gas.
Since its launch in 2010, the Mobile has visited more than 250 schools in 170 communities.
Thursday and Friday it will be at Nicholas Sheran Community School before taking off to the Town of Trochu on May 20.
