LETHBRIDGE – From culinary arts to welding, high school students strutted their stuff at Lethbridge College Wednesday.
The school played host to one of nine Regional Skills Canada Competitions that are taking place in Alberta this year.

The event gives trade and technology students an opportunity to take their skills out of a traditional classroom setting.
Categories include auto service, baking, cabinet making, carpentry, culinary arts, fashion technology, graphic design, hairstyling, photography, video production and welding.
“It’s really a great venue for kids that have skills outside of athletics,” said organizer Jody Stolk-Ingram.
Winners of the regional contests go on to compete at the Provincial Skills Canada Competition in Edmonton May 13 and 14.
