Flames broke out at the Flavelle Sawmill company at about 10:30 a.m. It’s a cedar manufacturing plant on Murray Street, near the Boathouse restaurant.

Earlier a giant cloud of smoke could be seen billowing over the area. Emergency crews are still on scene but they now have the fire under control.

There is no word yet on exactly where the fire started. Officials say everyone has been accounted for and there are no injuries.
