A 17-year-old man from the Lower Mainland is the latest suspected Stanley Cup rioter to have charges approved against him by the Crown Counsel.
The name of the man, who has been charged with participating in a riot and three counts of arson damaging property, is being withheld because he was a young offender on the night of the riot.
Earlier this month, the Integrated Riot Investigation Team recommended 52 charges against 20 more suspected rioters. In total, 215 charges have now been recommended against 80 individuals.
Sixty-one charges have actually been approved against 25 suspected rioters. In today’s release, Vancouver police said charges have now been approved against 28 suspected rioters.
