Saskatoon Salvation Army demolished its $235-thousand goal for kettle donations by raising almost $240-thousand around the Christmas holidays.
The Kettle campaign finished at noon today with the money going to Christmas hampers, adopt-a-family programs as well as year-to-year emergency funding.
“Our need continues to grow and the wonderful people of Saskatoon stepped up when we needed them most,” said Community Services Executive Director Major Malba Holliday.
“We are so thankful and grateful for all the support we received.”
Kettle volunteers worked an extraordinary number of hours at 20 locations around Saskatoon.
Volunteers and donators are welcome to visit the Salvation Army over the holidays.
