Fire crews evacuated 73 children and 13 adults from a daycare in the city’s southwest on Wednesday afternoon after a nearby gas line was damaged.
The Calgary Fire Department was called to Millside Drive southwest at 1:30 p.m. where workers struck a gas line while digging to build a fence.

No injuries were reported.
Calgary Transit buses were brought in to relocate the children.
Traffic on Millside Drive southwest has been shut down, and ATCO Gas is on scene.
