BARILOCHE, ARGENTINA – The residents of Bariloche may have a chocolate hangover tomorrow as today they feasted on what they said was the world’s largest handmade chocolate Easter egg. The giant egg fed 50,000 people at this resort town and was made from 8,000 kilograms of chocolate. The titanic Easter treat stood eight and a half metres high and was six feet across in diameter.

The egg, which was made by 70 students from 18 chocolate producers, was so large  that the mayor of the town, Maria Eugenia Martinez, had to crack it open with a pick axe.
