TORONTO – Six people were treated for smoke inhalation after a two-alarm blaze Wednesday afternoon.

The fire broke out at 25 West Lodge Avenue, in the Lansdowne Avenue and Queen Street West area, around 4:00 p.m.

The fire was contained to one apartment, however, smoked filled the hallways forcing the evacuation of the building.

The fire was caused by too many extension cords in the unit.

No one was seriously injured as a result of the fire; however, six people were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

The fire caused $250,000 in damages.
