The lawyer for a man charged in connection to a police officer’s death says all charges against his client have now been stayed.
Constable Adrian Oliver was killed while on duty in November 2012.
His unmarked cruiser was involved in a fatal collision with a semi at 64th Ave and 148th Street.
The charges against the driver of the semi, Harjit Singh Lotay, appear to have been dropped by the Crown.
The reasons for that haven’t been made public yet.
He is still facing a lawsuit from the federal government related to financial damages that occurred as the result of the crash.
More details about the case will be revealed in a press conference next week.
