Sicamous – A 26-year-old man may face criminal charges after he crashed a company vehicle, that according to police, he didn’t have permission to take.
Sicamous RCMP say Monday afternoon a truck carrying a work site first aid camper hit an electronic traffic control board trailer and then a rock face on Highway 97A south of Swansea Point.

The vehicle ended up on a concrete barricade.
The driver fled the scene but was later found by police and taken to hospital.
Police estimate the collision caused over $30,000 in damages.
RCMP says witnesses report the truck was being driven in a dangerous manner before it crashed.
