MONTREAL – Members of the police brotherhood found a disturbing surprise in front of their Gilford street offices Friday morning.
A severed pig’s head in a star shaped pentagram was placed right at the police union’s front door, along with bones hanging from a string.
“It’s definitely a satanic message,” said paranormal phenomena expert Christian Page.
“When you place the severed head of a dead animal in the middle of a pentagram, it’s a kind of curse. So, it’s possible it’s a curse people want to put on police forces.”
A note on the brotherhood’s door, which was written backwards, states:
“You took them from us alive, we want them back alive. May their ghosts haunt you forever.”
It’s a phrase that has been most often used after 43 students went missing in Mexico.

Montreal police aren’t saying whether it’s a bad joke or if there’s a link with recent anti-police events.
Commander Ian Lafrenière says police are treating it as a case of vandalism and have classified it a threat.
“It is more than a prank,” he insisted.
