WATCH: A suspicious package at the North Van SeaBus station shut down the area as the bomb squad investigated
Seabus service is up and running as normal this morning after a shutdown that lasted for hours.
A suspicious object was reported in the middle of the afternoon rush hour yesterday, bringing service to a grinding halt.
All trips between Waterfront and Lonsdale quay were canceled to allow police to investigate.
Officers say they did not want to take any chances.
A robot for dealing with potential explosives was deployed, as was a bomb sniffing dog.
Officers ultimately realized the object was an old walkman music player under a seat.
