WINNIPEG — Border agents seized more than 780 grams of cocaine from a plane at the Richardson International Airport last week.
Canada Border Services Agency staff found two cylinder-shaped bricks containing suspected cocaine while examining a plane, officials said in a news release. It was the first significant drug seizure of the year at the Winnipeg airport, the agency said.
The bricks, which weighed 781.8 grams, were turned over to the RCMP.
Authorities could not provide further details as police and border agents continue the investigation.
