TORONTO – Crews continue to battle a fire in a residential neighbourhood under construction north of Toronto early Tuesday morning.

The fire started just after before 4 a.m. in the community of Mount Alert east of Newmarket.
At least seven homes burned to the ground and crews continue to work on hot spots.
No injuries have been reported.
Police say they are not calling the fire suspicious but the cause is still under investigation.
