Maurice Lloyd back with the Green and White

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that they have signed import linebacker Maurice Lloyd to the roster. Financial details of the signing were not released. 

Lloyd returns to the Green and White after spending the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos.

In 72 regular season CFL games the 28-year-old tallied 299 defensive tackles, 21 special teams tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback sacks, six forced fumbles and three interceptions. 

The Connecticut product originally signed with the Riders as a free agent May, 2006. He was a member of the 2007 Grey Cup Championship team. 

The Riders have also released Barrin Simpson
